I really don't like ISK beggars.  (ISK is Eve's currency)  I especially don't like ISK beggars with an attitude of arrogance about how they deserve free ISK.  I let a certain ISK beggar know exactly how I felt about him.  Terms such as "fucking scumbag", and "lazy sack of shit" were liberally used.

Connection to the server has been lost.  Relogged... You have been banned until 7/12/08.  One solid month.  What really sealed the deal for me though, was the text explaining why...

"Failure to follow the orders of a GM."

Fucking egotistical nazi assholes.  Not even a warning after nearly a month of being on "good" behavior.  2 less subscriptions for them, but not like it will make any difference.  I just can't wrap my head around why some games GM staff feel they can just treat their customers like so much dogshit on the bottom of their shoe.  Reminds me of Turbine.

Oh well, Vanguard was only $4.24 on ebay, so I'll see how that goes.  Maybe SOE will like my subsription dollars and not care if I say a bad word now and then.

When you get banned from something, you can complain.

When you get banned from something repeatedly, you should probably start to look at your behavior.

You are now officially in the latter category.

A whole month. How did you stand it?

The only person worse than an isk beggar is an isk buyer. I loathe them with a passion.

And if players are going to beg for isk, they should expect the abuse.

Its really nice to hear CCP takes care of those who cant speak in a proper way

If you dont like isk beggers then kill them or hire someone to do it for you

Oh and next time you get banned, be prepared to be away even further

hmm, ive been wondering on getting back into EVE... just dont know...

People that need bad language to express themselves might consider the virtues of sarcasm should any moments of lucid thought pass their way (an example!).

Clever sarcasm will more easily avoid Moderator wrath while dealing a much heavier blow against your intended targets.

Sarcasm has no limits, except by the imagination or intelligence of the one attempting to weild it.

For the half of a year i was in EVE (again) from November to march i only saw a few isk beggers. And in goonfleet it was looked really nice apon if you helped out a newbie to get started abit faster.
Ive come across a few people in EVE that said on the chat that they just needed the last 100,000isk to get a battleship or somethimg. So i normally send it if i could afford it. No big deal when i enjoy mining and helping out

But as i started my alt, i saw the starting corp being spammed with isk sellers like mad ( so i send in petitions and got lots of people banned from it.
They ruin the ingame economy, since they strip all the smaller areas for resources so that new players have a harder time getting any and a good price for it as well. Ive even heard that some isk farmers have like 10-20 accounts running at the same time doing nothing but mining and selling it for real cash.
I do like the idea that CCP came up with, that you can buy timecards from other players with isk. Made me stay a few extra month hehe.

I was a proud member of Battlestars that was in the goonfleet alliance. The goonfleet forums... wow i gotta say... if you just happens to get in there you will feel ashamed of the human kind. The language they use is very very bad when you first see it. They used the N word alot among others. I choose not to use there forums unless for trading. But from what ive been told, they didnt mean any harm with it, it was just how the community have created itself, it was some sort of slang i think.

Its just a matter of time before i start in EVE again.. lol

For those interested in Eve, after 5 or so years of cold war the 4 major empires have just gone to war, there are some crazy events going on, feel free to check it out. My name is Jae Kalen in game feel free to look me up.

The joy of eve is that there is a consequence for everything. 1 guy stole some wrecks out of a corpmates mission. so for the next 3 days we scanned him down and suicide ganked him repeatedly to make a point....lot more fun then flaming someone and getting banned (for the 2nd time.....)

The last thing I need when I switch off work, and settle down for a game of ... (anything) ... is to end up in the middle of some egofest where the mechanics of the game are almost incidental. I face enough of that silly nonsense at work, where people are more concerned about their reputation, than doing what they are paid to do. Its why I have never got into multiplayer games of whatever nature.

Some people get so wrapped up in the whole "power" thing, they lose touch with reality, and are surprised to learn those outside the virtual world they inhabit could care less, far less be impressed with being the latest "Emperor of Klingon Space" (or whatever).

Doubtless there are areas/games where ego is less of an issue, and thats fine, but I gave up long ago trying to find one! Thats not to say people are wrong in playing them, of course not, that would be silly, we are all different in what we like or want. Its "horses for courses" at the end of the day, but its not how I chose to spend what free time I have when I want to "relax"

Well, I hope you did a better job of getting out of Detorid than I did. I logged off in the station system we were taking at the time and never logged back on.

Recently I heard from a guy that still plays that apparently GoonSwarm lost the invasion big time and is pretty much back in square 1 - which basically means Detorid should be crawling with BoB.

If I ever go back, that'll be fun to get out of...
